Patricia June "Pat" Haney, 72, a resident of Elkins passed from this life Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2023, at her home. She had been in her usual health and death was unexpected.
Pat was born Monday, Nov. 6, 1950, in Elkins, a daughter of the late Owen William Smith and Juanita Mae Stewart Smith.
On April 20, 2002, at The Refuge Church, she was married to Mitchell Lane Haney, who survives.
Also left to cherish Pat's memory are four siblings, Tom Smith and wife, Nancy, and Joe Stewart, all of Elkins, Linda Kisner and husband, Ricky, of Maysville, and Barbara Stewart of Fairmont; a sister-in-law, Beverly Stewart of Elkins; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved church family.
Pat attended the schools of Randolph County and worked as a healthcare provider for Hospice Care. She enjoyed making crafts such as bows and wreaths, and she enjoyed baking. She was very active in her church helping arrange activities, meals and baking for the meals. She was a member of The Refuge Church.
A visitation will be held at The Refuge Church on Monday, Sept. 4, 2023, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., the funeral hour.
Rev Kevin and Connie Gainer will officiate, and interment will follow in Mountain State Memorial Gardens.
The Randolph Funeral Home and Cremation Services has been entrusted with the arrangements for Patricia June "Pat" Haney.
