Randall Criss Markley

He was born Oct. 19, 1955, at Philippi, West Virginia, a son of the late Floyd Carl and Beulah Irene Markley.

On July 4, 2010, he was united in marriage to the former Carmen Juanita McLean, who survives at their home.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Chelsea Mae Pingley and husband, Andrew, of Norton, West Virginia; one sister, Sheila Starr of Dale City, Virginia; one brother, Larry Markley of Luray, Virginia; and sister-in-law, Mary Ann Markley of Luray, Virginia.

Additional survivors include one grandchild, Everly Brooke Pingley; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers. George “Sonny” Markley and Gary Markley; one sister-in-law. Sandra Markley; and brother-in-law; Steve Starr.

Randall attended the schools of Barbour County and was employed by the Harrison County Power Plant as a Lineman. He was previously employed by various companies in the oil field industry. He also worked as a Superintendent at Fox Drilling and also worked alongside his brother with Quality Paving. He was a member of the NRA and loved to tinker on his lawn equipment and spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Per Randall’s request, cremation will be honored. The family will receive friends at the Talbott Funeral Home 56 N. Brandenburg Street in Belington on Saturday, Aug. 12, 2023, from noon to 2 p.m. at which time a memorial service will be conducted from the funeral home chapel with the Pastor Rick Hymes officiating.

The family ask that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to Stringtown Cemetery c/o George Harris 1218 Hunter’s Fork Road Belington, WV 26250.
