Sharon Lee Smallwood Wimer, 75, a resident of Parsons, West Virginia, departed this life Sunday afternoon, Aug. 13, 2023, at Mon Health Medical Center at Morgantown, West Virginia. She had been in declining health.
She was born Monday, Feb. 16, 1948, at Charles Town, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Philip Franklin and Edith Virginia Deck Smallwood.
On Nov. 1, 1975, at Sumit Point, West Virginia, she was married to Curtis Glenn Wimer, who survives. They had celebrated 47 years of marriage.
Also surviving are one son, Paul Glenn Wimer of Mt. Zion; and one granddaughter, Regan Wimer; and one grandson, Robby Shupp and partner, Mackenzie Lyons.
Preceding her in death is one son, Philip Clinton Wimer.
She was a graduate of Charles Town High School. She previously worked as a secretary for the Jefferson County Extension Office. Most of her life she dedicated and enjoyed being involved with 4-H. Sharon's hobbies included needlework, painting pictures and her flowers. She loved to cook and loved her family dearly.
Mrs. Wimer's wishes for cremation will be honored.
