Timothy ‘Tim’ Allen Elmore

ELMORE

Timothy “Tim” Allen Elmore, 60, a resident of Norton, West Virginia, departed this life Friday evening, Aug. 18, 2023, at the Ruby Memorial Hospital at Morgantown, West Virginia, surrounded by his loving family. Death was unexpected.

He was born Tuesday, Oct. 30, 1962, at Elkins, West Virginia, a son of the late Ray Henry and Judith Lee Guire Elmore.

On March 26, 1983, at Phillips Chapel United Methodist Church at Jimtown, West Virginia, he was married to the former Connie Spencer, who survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Sheena Elmore of Norton; one son, Cody Elmore and fiance, Paula McAtee, of East Dailey; three brothers, Curtis Ray Elmore and wife, Crystal, of Coalton, Randall Neal Elmore and wife, Pam, of Coalton, and Rodney Lynn Elmore and wife, Ginger, of Elkins; four grandchildren, Brandon Elmore, Karah Bennett and Luke Bennett all of Norton, and Kate Elmore, of East Dailey; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Teresa Darlene Elmore.

Tim was a graduate of Coalton High School with the class of 1981. He had worked for Tygart Molding for 20 years, the City of Elkins for 15 years and for the past two years for Tygart’s Valley Distributing Company.

He was a veteran of the WV Army National Guard and a past member of the American Legion.

He coached little league at Norton, was a member of the Lions Club at Coalton and a volunteer firefighter for many years.

Tim loved spending time with his family and friends, and was a loving husband and Grandpa. He will be sadly missed. He never met a stranger and was liked by all.

He was always helping the neighbors if they needed something done, he would take the shirt off his back to help anyone. He was loved by everyone, especially his family.

His Aunt Lucille, Aunt Joy and everyone always said “He was their other son.” He loved hunting, fishing, and camping and was a hard worker. He always made sure his family was taken care of. Tim was known as a giving person and, even in death, his giving continues through his gift of organ donation.

The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday.

Final Rites will be conducted from the funeral home, Friday, Aug. 25, 2023, at 11 a.m.
