Welton Wood Rosenberger passed from this life into the care of God Almighty on Monday, Oct. 2, 2023.
Born on Aug. 17, 1937, in Winchester, Virginia, he was the youngest child of Holmes Graham Rosenberger and Anna Wood Rosenberger.
He was never married.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
He is survived by five nieces and nephews and many cousins.
"Wood" attended schools in Winchester, Virginia, and was a graduate of Randolph Macon College.
"Wood" Lived in Los Angeles, California, Eau Claire, Wisconsin, Columbia, Missouri, and Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, before settling in Elkins in 1992 after a career in Aerospace Mathematics. He enjoyed reading, studying and especially riding his bicycle around town, throughout the region and for long-distance touring.
He was a beloved member and Elder of Davis Memorial Presbyterian Church in Elkins and enjoyed a variety of Bible study classes, particularly the Dr. Lacy Bible Class.
A visitation is scheduled in the Sanctuary of Davis Memorial Presbyterian Church on Monday morning, Oct. 9, 2023, at 10 a.m., with a Memorial Service at 11 a.m., with Dr. Robert McCutcheon officiating.
Following the service, a processional will travel to Laurel Hill Cemetery in Lost City, West Virginia, for Graveside Commitment.
