Judith Ann ‘Judy’ Coberly Paugh

Judith Ann "Judy" Coberly Paugh, 78, a resident of Elkins, West Virginia, departed this life Monday morning, Nov. 6, 2023, at the Elkins Rehabilitation & Care Center at Elkins, West Virginia.

She was born Monday, Feb. 26, 1945, at home on the Stalnaker Run Road, Elkins, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Branem Jefferson and Margie Ellen Raines Coberly.

Surviving are one son, Lensie Owlen Paugh Jr. and wife, Cassie, of McMurray, Pennsylvania; one brother, Dave Coberly and wife, Diane, of Montrose; two sisters, Charlotte Kisner of Goldsboro, North Carolina, and Sandy Harman and husband, Jack, of Elkins; and two grandchildren, Brody and Chloe Paugh.

Preceding her in death is the father of her son, Lensie Owlen Paugh Sr.; six brothers, Thomas, Marvin, Paul, John, Jeff and Joe Coberly; and seven sisters, Mary Goode, Betty Todd, Marilyn "Susie" Swager, Kate Cloward, Bessie Perez, Madge Hileman and Gerry Leasure.

She was a graduate of Elkins High School, had worked as a seamstress and later worked for International Harvester at Springfield, Ohio, assembling trucks. She enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and ginsenging and loved being a special "Grandma" to Brody and Chloe.

Judy's request for cremation was honored.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Nov. 10, 2023, at the Mountain State Memorial Gardens at Gilman, West Virginia.

Chaplain Robert E. Yothers Jr. will officiate and inurnment will follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the charity of your choice in memory of Judy.
