Richard Lee Poling, 52, a resident of Mabie, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2023 in the Emergency Department of Davis Medical Center.
He was born Sept. 4, 1971, in Elkins, a son of the late Herbert M. and Wilda Zirkle Poling.
On Oct. 15, 1999, in Elkins, he was married to Carlyle Caroline Howell, who survives.
Also surviving are three sisters, Karen Sue Phillips of Belington, Deana M. Poling of Romney, West Virginia, and C. Jean Godden of Belington; one brother, Russell Poling of Belington; and 10 nephews and six nieces.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one brother, Paul Poling; and one sister, Sandra Poling.
He loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing.
He was a member of Mount Zion Church.
Friends may call from noon until 1 p.m., Monday, Nov. 20, 2023, at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, from the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Larry Poling officiating.
Interment will follow in the Rowan Memorial Cemetery near Mabie.
