Michael Leroy Ludle, 81, a resident of Dunmore, passed from this life Sunday, Dec. 3, 2023, at Pocahontas Place in Marlinton.
Michael was born Friday, Aug. 21, 1942, in Alliance, Ohio, a son of the late Harold and Dorothy Ludle. He was married to the former Doris Louise Tumblin, who preceded him in death in 1999.
Left to cherish his memory are two children, Michael Ludle and wife, Stephanie, of Ravenswood, and April Harrison and husband, Ross, of Dunmore; four grandchildren, Paige Harrison of Grafton, Michael Ludle and wife, Shelby, of Scott Depot, Uriah Ludle and wife, Brianna, of Mt. Lookout, and Gavin Harrison of Dunmore; one sister, Sandi Fair and husband, Butch, of Sevierville, Tennessee; one brother, Woody Ludle of Akron, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death besides his parents and wife were two infant children, Nicole and Joseph; two sisters, Pat and Jackie; one brother, Darrell Ludle; and close companion, Claudette Ladika.
Michael retired as a Sergeant from the U.S. Army National Guard and as a correctional officer with the West Virginia Department of Corrections. He was a member of the Isaac Walton League, the Eagles, Paid Up For Life member of The American Legion Post 29, Elkins and the NRA.
A visitation will be held at the Randolph Funeral Home Thursday, Dec. 7, 2023, from noon until 1 p.m., the funeral hour. Rev. Michael Ludle will officiate and interment will follow in Mountain State Memorial Gardens where members of H.W. Daniels Post 29, American Legion, Tygart Valley Post 3647, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Air Force Honor Guard will conduct full military honors.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made in Michael's name to West Virginia Caring, 169 Diamond Street, Elkins, WV, 26241.
