Roy Clifton ‘Flick’ Teter

Roy Clifton "Flick" Teter, 82, of Elkins, West Virginia, went to his heavenly home on Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2023, at ERCC, surrounded by his family.

Born in Richwood, West Virginia, on Sept. 20, 1941, he was the son of the late Roy Clifton and Delphia Dorothy (Workman) Teter.

While proudly serving the United States Army, he earned his GED through his service. He worked as a foreman linesman with Penline. He then worked for and retired from, the Carpenters Union of Clarksburg. Roy was an outdoor fanatic; he really enjoyed caving and was a part of the Bowden group of cavers. He also enjoyed hiking, biking, and swimming.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Madalin (Nelson) Teter, to whom he was married on Feb 18, 1966; three children, Beth Renee Mallow and husband, Danny, of Dry Fork, West Virginia, Roy Brenton Teter and wife, Phyllis, of Nokomis, Florida, and Paul Clifton Teter and wife, Chandra, of Tampa, Florida; six grandchildren, Brooke (Teter) Hake and husband, Aaron, Paul Nelson Teter, Maddie Teter, Clif Teter, Clayton Mallow and Amie (Teter) McNab and husband, Christopher; two great-grandchildren, Jeremy and Anna Hake; and two sisters, Rose Ellen O'Brien and Debbie Nelson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Bill Stalnaker.

Friends will be received on Saturday, Dec. 30, 2023, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Dry Fork Assembly of God. A celebration of life will be held at noon from the church, with Pastor Bob Yothers and Pastor Dwaine Corley officiating. Interment services will be private.
