Artie Leeora Ramsey Lambert

Artie Leeora Ramsey Lambert, 74, a resident of Beverly, passed from this life Thursday, Jan. 11, 2024, at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport.

Artie was born Saturday, Oct. 22, 1949, in Beverly, a daughter of the late Dave Ramsey and Mamie Shiflett Ramsey.

On Nov. 25, 1969, she married Johnny Lambert, who survives at home.

Also left to cherish her memory are two children, Johnny Lambert Jr. and wife, Uneda, and Teresa Simmons and husband, Nicholas, four grandchildren, Willie Lambert, Tarina Simmons, John Wesley Lambert and Katlyn Lambert; three siblings, Carl Ramsey and wife, Barbara, Jesse Ramsey and Libby Ramsey; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and her little dog, Sassy.

Preceding her in death besides her parents were two sisters, Ida Mae Howell, and Marietta Graham.

Artie attended the schools of Randolph County and had been employed for 14 years as the head housekeeper at the Econo Lodge in Elkins. She enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening and going on long scenic car rides. Artie was a selfless and caring soul; she worried more about others than herself. She was a good Christian woman that loved her family and friends whole heartedly. Artie loved going to church and reading her Bible daily; she most recently attended Gospel Light Tabernacle in Elkins.

A graveside service will be conducted Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2024, at 2 p.m. in the Beverly Cemetery. Pastor A.H. Belt will officiate.

The Randolph Funeral Home and Cremation Services has been entrusted with the arrangements for Artie Leeora Ramsey Lambert.
