Mary Beth Daugherty Goldsmith Hamby, 60, a resident of Elkins, passed from this life Monday, Jan. 8, 2024, at her home with her husband at her side and under the care of WV Caring.
Mary Beth was born Thursday, March 14, 1964, in Philippi, a daughter of Mary Louise Shaffer Daugherty Runner, who survives in Moorefield, and the late Ronald Daugherty.
On April 6, 2011, in Mill Creek, she was married to Phil Allen Hamby. The had celebrated 12 years of marriage.
Left to cherish Mary Beth's memory are three children, Jessica Goldsmith, Seth Goldsmith and Travis Goldsmith, all of Parkersburg; five siblings, Lisha Haller of Moorefield, Arthur Daugherty of Elkins, Tracy Summers of French Creek, Susannah Runner of Petersburg and Junior Runner of Belington; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Mary Beth attended the schools of Barbour County and was a homemaker. She enjoyed flowers and loved her family very much. She will be missed by her family and friends.
Mary Beth's request for cremation was honored.
