Roberta M. "Bobbie" Kniley Valentine, 78, a resident of Elkins, passed away Monday, Jan. 1, 2024, at her home.
She was born June 14, 1945, at Elkins, a daughter of the late Jesse Kniley and Effie Basil Kniley.
On Nov. 20, 2010, she was married to Bobby K. Valentine, who preceded her in death Nov. 7, 2012. She is survived by two daughters, Crystal White and Todd Price and Kimberly A. "Jiggs" Johnson and, Dave, all of Elkins.
Both Crystal and Kimberly were raised by Patty and Kay Keesee.
One brother, Robert Kniley and Sondra of Marietta, Ohio; grandchildren, Mary Hedrick and companion, Chad Clark, of Elkins, Patty Hedrick and Michael Hedrick, both of Flatwoods, West Virginia, Justin White and girlfriend, Rebekah Jenkins, of Elkins and Kaylea Johnson of Elkins; several great- grandchildren; a sister-law, Delsey Kniley of Elkins; and brother-in-law, Kay Keesee of Elkins also survive.
Also preceding her in death was one daughter, Virginia Louise "Ginny" Feaster Hedrick; brother, George Martin Kniley; sister Patricia Ann Keesee; and grandson Robert Allen Hedrick.
Bobbie worked as a caretaker for the Randolph County Senior Center prior to her retirement. She was a member of Tygart Valley Lady Shriners, ISIS Court No. 1, Silent Grove CEOS, IOOF Lodge No. 116 and Delphia Rebekah Lodge No. 62. She was also a member of the First Church of Christ and the Ladies Guild of the church.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., Monday, Jan. 8, 2024, at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 9, from the funeral home chapel, with Preaching Minister Jason Brandon officiating.
Interment will follow in the Elkins Memorial Gardens on the Country Club Road, Elkins.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, 1645 W. 8th St., Erie, PA 16505 in memory of Bobbie.
