Roland Lee Warner

Roland Lee Warner, 80, of Petersburg, West Virginia, passed away on Jan. 16, 2024, at Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg after a brief illness.

He was born on Sept. 2, 1943, in Elkins, West Virginia, the son of the late Arlie and Vera (White) Warner.

On June 2, 1973, Roland Lee married his wife of 50 years, Diana (McFarlan) Warner, who survives in Petersburg.

Roland Lee was a 1962 graduate of Harman High School, a lifelong farmer, as well as public work.

He had a great work ethic, he believed and fulfilled that work ethic in any job or task he took on. He liked deer hunting, sports, and in his older years, he enjoyed watching old western movies. He will be missed by his family.

In addition to his wife, Roland Lee leaves behind to cherish his memory three sons, Kevin Warner (Dawn) of New Mexico, Rex Warner (Sandy) of Texas and Trenton Warner (Ashley) of Virginia; a sister, Sandra Cooper (Wilmoth) of Harman, West Virginia; five grandchildren, Joshua Warner (Kate) of Georgia, Jacob Warner of Arizona, Rebecca Warner of Arizona, Samantha Pretorius (Andre) of Texas and Shelby Christie (Brock) of Arizona; seven great-grandchildren, Jorden, Jackson, Isabella, Cody, Lovett, Bonnie Kate and Chamberlin.

In honoring Roland Lee's wishes, his body will be cremated with no public funeral or memorial services.

A private Celebration of Roland Lee's Life, for loved ones, will be held at a later date.
