James F. "Butch" Pritt, 75, a resident of the Files Creek community, passed away Saturday, Feb. 3, 2024, at Mon Health Medical Center in Morgantown, West Virginiua.
He was born March 12, 1948 at Beverly, a son of the late William H. Pritt and Jeanette Raider Pritt.
He is survived by one son, James Michael Pritt of Delaware; one sister, Vickie Triplett and husband, Ivan, of Beverly; and two grandchildren, Macy and Mac Pritt.
Also preceding him in death was one sister, Diana L. Pontefract; and one brother, William Howard Pritt, Jr.
Butch was a veteran of the United States Navy and the Army National Guard. He retired from Alcon where he worked as a truck driver. He was a member of H.W. Daniels Post 29, American Legion and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting. He was a Protestant by faith.
Butch's request for cremation will be honored. A Celebration of Life Service will be held a later date.
