Pamela June ‘Pam’ (Cathell) Holbert

Mrs. Pamela June "Pam" (Cathell) Holbert, 56, a resident of Belington, departed this life Wednesday evening, Feb. 21, 2024, in the Mon General Hospital at Morgantown. Although she had been in declining health, death was unexpected.

She was born Nov. 22, 1967, at Philippi, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Bertsel Cathell Jr. and Jo Ellen Skidmore, who survives at Belington.

Left to cherish her memory are two children, Chelsea D. Holbert and Courtney N. Holbert, both of Belington; a bonus daughter; Samantha Sparks of Philippi; four siblings, Cheryl Anglin and husband, Ted, of Philippi, David Cathell and wife, Cindy, of Indiana, Paul Cathell of Philippi and Amanda Cathell-Osborn of Philippi; bonus brother, Fred Bragg of Belington; two grandchildren, Izabella Martinez and Gabriel Sparks; and her canine companion, Ryder.

Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Pam attended the schools of Barbour County and was a graduate from the Philip Barbour High School with the class of 1987. She was self-employed as an in-home caregiver. She attended the Valley Bend Baptist Church near Belington. She enjoyed crocheting and shopping at her favorite thrift stores and loved spending time with her family. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Friends will be received at the Talbott Funeral Home 56 N. Brandenburg St. in Belington on Saturday Feb. 24, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., the funeral hour, at which time final rites will be conducted from the funeral home chapel with Pastor Joe Bowen officiating.

Cremation will then follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Talbott Funeral Home P.O. Box 879 Belington, WV 26250 to help with final expenses.
