Nathaniel Bryce Miller-Howell, 17, a resident of Elkins, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at his home.
He was born Jan. 6, 2007, at Elkins, a son of Burlin Junior Howell and Heather Sharlene Miller Howell.
Also surviving is his maternal great-grandmother, Eula Currence of Elkins; maternal grandparents, John and Pam Miller of Elkins; Ronald and Connie Kemrite of Elkins; two brothers, Burlin Brandon Howell and wife, Amanda, of Elkins, and Bryant Jackson Howell of Jane Lew, West Virginia; three sisters, Isabella Rose Miller Howell and Almira Violet Grace Martin of Elkins, and Alexus Shae Duncan and husband, Kyle of Dennison, Texas.
Nathanial had numerous aunts, uncles, great-aunts, great-uncles, cousins, great-cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents, Samuel E. and Maureen V. Miller; great-grandfather, Jimmie A. Currence; great-aunt, Carol L. Mallow; great-uncle, James M. Miller; paternal grandparents, Burlin J. Howell and Beulah Belle Howell-Pritt; and one nephew, Cohen Bryant Howell.
Also preceding him in death were his aunt, Doris Jean Howell; uncle, Kenneth Ray Howell; great-aunt Violet E.J. Davies; and a very special friend, Billy Martin, with whom Nathaniel had lived with.
Nathaniel had attended the Crystal Springs Community Church.
Nathaniel's request for cremation will be honored.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Jimmie Currence Foundation, C/O Mountain Valley Bank, 317 Davis Avenue, Elkins, WV 26241 in memory of Nathaniel.
