Patricia Ann DePoy Seders, 82, a resident of Elkins, West Virginia, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2024, at Mountain Memories Assisted Living and Retirement Center, under the care of Mountain Memories staff and WV Caring.
She was born on Oct. 31, 1941, at Little Otter, near Gassaway, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Russell and Ruby (Perrine) DePoy.
On March 8, 1963, in Weirton, West Virginia, she married the late Carl Seders.
She is survived by her two sons, Rev. Brian (Susan) Seders of Elkins, West Virginia, and Jason (Kim) Seders of Smithsburg, Maryland; one brother, Don (Jean) DePoy of Clayton, North Carolina; seven grandchildren, Nick (Kelly) Seders, Chris Seders, George (Suzzana) Seders, Faith Seders, Rebecca Seders, , Timothy (Brandi) Richmond and Betsy (Jon) Scovell; eight great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Richmond, Austin Richmond, Carter Scovell, Bryce Scovell, Charity Seders, Evangeline Seders, Shepherd Seders and Ezra Seders; one sister-in-law, Sharon Seders; and three close nephews, Chuck (Diane) DePoy, Darrin (Annette) DePoy and Rick Nutter; as well as other nieces and nephews.
Patricia was a 1959 graduate of Weir High School. She had previously been employed at G.C. Murphy's, Fisher's Big Wheel, Weirton Steel, Hancock County Clerk's Office and the Hancock County Board of Education as a Bus Aide and a Teacher's Aide, from where she retired.
Patricia loved her family and friends deeply. She was particularly fond of children, especially her grandkids and her "bus" kids.
Patricia was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Weirton, West Virginia. She lived her Christian faith in word and deed. She will be greatly missed.
A memorial Service will be held in Weirton, Saturday, April 6, at a time and place TBA.
Interment will follow at the Pierpoint Cemetery in Alma, West Virginia.
