Leona M. Daniels, 95, a former resident of Durbin, passed from this life at Elkins Rehabilitation and Care Center Elkins on Monday, April 15, 2024.
She was born on Thursday, Feb. 7, 1929, a daughter of the late Charlie W. And Joanna Washburn Rexrode.
Left to cherish Leona's memory is her son, Charles "Gene" Rexrode (Nancy); daughter, Gloria Daniels; her sister, Jackie Hudak; and her sister-in-law, Shelia Rexrode.
She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are brothers, William "Bill" C. Rexrode, Johnny J. Rexrode, Charlie "Allen" Rexrode and Franklin «Frank" Rexrode; and sisters, Goldie "Lovie" Daniels and Anna Mae Woods.
Leona loved and fed not only her cats but all of the neighborhood cats as well. She also enjoyed reading, sewing, making crafts and she was a wonderful cook.
We would like to thank the Nurses and Staff at Elkins Rehabilitation and Care Center for the wonderful care given to Leona during her extended stay there.
Leona wished to be cremated, and she will be buried at Arbovale Cemetery in Arbovale.
The Randolph Funeral Home and Cremation Services has been entrusted with the arrangements for Leona M. Daniels.
