Wallace Warren (Phil) Phillips

Wallace Warren (Phil) Phillips, 71, of Edgewater, Florida, passed away on April 6, 2024.

Born on Aug. 8, 1952, in Elkins, West Virginia, and moved to Edgewater, Florida, in 1986. He attended Elkins High School and went on to have a successful career as a Maintenance Mechanic and CDL Heavy Equipment Operator, working 25 years in the Aerospace Industry at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. He was a skilled tradesman who took great pride in his work, and enjoyed working on and driving his many prized classic cars.

He is survived by the love of his life, Patricia Yvonne Phillips; and his son, Wallace Warren Phillips II; and daughter-in-law, Tanya; and grandson, Justin Griffis and wife, Tiffany.

He is also survived by a niece, Michelle Dee Phillips Wilson, Springfield Oregon; and nephew, Michael Martin Phillips, Junction City Oregon.

He was preceded in death by his Mother, Helen Register; Father, Maynard Phillips; and three brothers, Michael Phillips, Mickey Phillips and Johnny Lee Register.

Memorial gathering and celebration of life will be scheduled later this summer. Contributions in his memory can be made to Edgewater Animal Shelter or Southeast Volusia Humane Society New Smyrna Beach.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Dudley Funeral Home in New Smyrna Beach, Florida.
