Archie A. Daniels

DANIELS

Mr. Archie A. Daniels, 77, a resident of Mill Creek, passed away Monday, April 29, 2024, in the Davis Medical Center in Elkins.

He was born Jan. 1, 1947, at Mill Creek, a son of the late Lonnie A. Daniels and the late Orpha Scott Daniels.

On July 6, 1990, in Elkins, he married Anna Ball Daniels, who survives.

Also surviving is one son, Eric Brian Daniels of Lexington, North Carolina; two brothers, Richard Daniels and Lonnie Daniels, both of Mill Creek; and one grandson, Jacob Daniels.

Also preceding him in death were sisters, Mae Daniels, Madge Daniels, Jean Seymour, Phyllis Golden and Mavadell Summerfield.

Archie attended the schools of Randolph County and was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam War.

He was employed as a coalminer for Carter-Roag Coal Company. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and attended the Blue Rock Union Mission Church.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until noon, Saturday, May 4, 2024, at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins.

A funeral service will be held at noon on Saturday, from the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Randy Long and Scott Spotloe officiating.

Interment will follow in the Mountain State Memorial Gardens near Gilman, where full military honors will be accorded at the gravesite by members of the West Virginia National Guard Honor Guard Program, H.W. Daniels Post 29 American Legion and Tygart Valley Post 3647 Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Blue Rock Church, c/o Ivey Summerfield, 11436 Adolph Road, Mill Creek, WV 26280 in memory of Archie.
