Betty Lou Frame

FRAME

Betty Lou Frame, 92, a former resident of Gassaway, West Virginia, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2024, at Mountain Memories Assisted Living & Retirement Center in Elkins.

She was born Jan. 1, 1932, at Flint, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Arthur C. and Edna Arbogast Gould.

In 1947, she was married to Jack R. Frame, who preceded her in death Feb. 24, 1973.

Surviving are two daughters-in-law, Debrah Frame of Gassaway, West Virginia, and Susan Frame of Elkins; two brothers, Richard Gould of Valley Head and Stanley Gould of Elkins.

Five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren also survive.

Also preceding her in death were two sons, Mickel L. Frame and Jack R. Frame II; one daughter, Barbara J. Crawford; two sisters, Gatha Berkle and Barbara Houser; and two brothers, Bob Gould and Arley Gould.

Following her husband's death, Betty received her GED, enrolled at Davis & Elkins College and graduated from the Licensed Practical Nursing Program. She had worked at Davis Memorial Hospital and Braxton County Memorial Hospital.

Betty was an avid reader, enjoyed making quilts, painting ceramics and doing jig saw puzzles.

A graveside service will be held at noon Thursday, May 23, 2024, at the Valley Head Cemetery at Valley Head, West Virginia.

Pastor Ann Fretwell will officiate and interment will follow.

Memorial contributions may be made to West Virginia Caring Hospice, PO Box 760, Arthurdale, WV 26520 in memory of Mrs. Frame.
