Bryan Oneil Johnston, 46, a resident of Beverly, West Virginia, departed this life early Monday morning, May 20, 2024, at the Davis Medical Center Emergency Department. Death was unexpected.
He was born Wednesday, Aug. 31, 1977, at Elkins, West Virginia, a son of the late Ronald Lewis "Ron" Johnston and Kathy Donnette Hedrick Johnston.
On Aug. 31, 2017, at Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, he was married to the former Amanda "Mandy" Sue Isner, who survives. They had been together for 25 years.
Also surviving are one sister, Amy Michelle Shahan of Montrose; his father and mother-in-law, Asher and Susie Isner of Beverly; two brothers-in law, Ashley Isner of Beverly and Jason Isner and wife, Jessica, of Valley Bend; four nephews, Jayson Blaha of Elkins and Jacob, Jonathan and Jordan Isner, all of Valley Bend; special neighbors, Tom and Cathy Smallridge of Beverly and Martha Hart of Beverly; and special dog, Sadie "Mutt."
Preceding him in death is one infant sister, Melissa Carol Johnston.
Bryan was a graduate of the Class of 1996 from Elkins High School and received his Associate Degree in Criminal Justice from Garrett Community College. He had worked as a heavy equipment operator, with Union Local 132 Operating Engineers and was a Christian by Faith. He was a member of the Randolph Lodge 55, A.F. & A.M. Bryan was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, garden and canning his own produce. He collected firearms and had his Federal Firearms License. Bryan had a heart of gold and was a loving husband and best friend that will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday.
Final Rites will be conducted from the funeral home, Friday, May 24, 2024, at 11 a.m.
Pastor Leon Brown will officiate and interment will follow at the Mt. Vernon Cemetery at Beverly, West Virginia, where the Randolph Lodge 55 A. F. & A.M. will conduct Masonic Graveside Rites.
