Frances Josephine Pingley

PINGLEY

Frances Josephine Pingley, 87, a resident of Beverly, West Virginia, departed this life Thursday afternoon, May 2, 2024, at the WVU Medicine United Hospital Center at Bridgeport, West Virginia, due to a recent diagnosis of a very aggressive form of Lymphoma.

Frances was born Tuesday, Nov. 3, 1936, at Beverly, West Virginia, a daughter of the late William "Bryan" Pingley and Zernia Mae Bennett Pingley.

Frances was a graduate of Beverly High School with the class of 1956 and retired in 1978 after 41 ¢ years of service with the C & P Telephone Company. She was a member of the Communication Workers of America (CWA) and a lifetime member of the Pioneers of America.

Frances is survived by one sister, Evelyn Geraldine "Tootie" Conley, a resident of the Elkins Rehabilitation & Care Center; one brother, Ronald Lee Pingley and wife, Sharon, of Beverly, West Virginia; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Pingley and Connie Pingley; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death are three brothers, Charles Gale, Russell William and Ralph Edward Pingley; a brother-in-law, Eber Junior Conley; and sister-in-law, Pauline Pingley.

A member of the Beverly United Methodist Church, Frances attended and enjoyed all the church pancake and buckwheat feeds, missing the last one due to her recent illness.

She enjoyed reading her Bible, golfing, bowling and spending time with her family, especially during the holidays.

The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins from 11 a.m. to noon, Monday, May 6, 2024.

Final Rites will be conducted from the funeral home, Monday at noon.

The Rev. Andrew Boley will officiate and interment will follow at the Beverly Cemetery at Beverly, West Virginia.

The Lohr & Barb Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for Frances Josephine Pingley.
