Genevieve Marie Rexrode, 78 of Durbin, West Virginia, passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2024, at her home.
Born Oct. 16, 1945 in Elkins, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Edward Snyder and Lilly Pudder Snyder.
Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Ben Everette "June" Rexrode; sisters, Alma Taylor and Ruth Gear; brothers, George Snyder, Wayne Snyder, James Snyder and Wilson Snyder.
Genevieve, during her working years, was employed by Beta Shoe Factory, Hanover Shoe, Snowshoe Resort and Cass Scenic Railroad Park.
She is survived by her sons, Charles Everette Rexrode of Bartow, West Virginia, Victor DeWayne Rexrode and companion, Connie Miller, of Durbin, West Virginia, and Ronald Lee Rexrode and wife, Loretta, of Durbin, West Virginia; sisters, Alpha Lutz of Windham, Ohio, and Grace Currence of Junior, West Virginia; 10 grandchildren; one stepgrandchild; eight great-grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Arbovale, West Virginia, with Pastor Carl Greathouse and Mr. Jerry Nelson officiating. Burial will follow at the Arbovale Cemetery Annex in Arbovale, West Virginia.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until time of the service.
