Mr. Robert Mathew "Bobby" Back, 68, a resident of the Tygart Valley Health and Rehabilitation in Belington, departed this life Wednesday afternoon, May 8, 2024, in the care facility. He had been in his usual health and death was unexpected.
He was born Aug. 30, 1955 at Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, a son of the late Mathew and Helen May Miller Back.
He had never married.
Left to cherish his memory is a sister-in-law, Barbara Back of Coatesville, Pennsylvania; a half-sister, Patricia Delnero and husband, James, of Stowe, Pennsylvania; a special nephew, Joe Weaver, who he was extremely close to; and several nieces and nephews and great-nephews also survive.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Mathew Back; and a sister, Linda Weaver.
Bobby attended the schools of Pennsylvania and also attended the Silent Grove Church in Philippi. He loved to color and do puzzles and was an avid WV Mountaineer fan. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Friends will be received at the Talbott Funeral Home 56 N. Brandenburg Street in Belington on Saturday, May 11, 2024, from noon to 2 p.m., the funeral hour, at which time a funeral service will be conducted from the funeral home chapel with the Pastor Bryan Headley officiating.
Interment will then follow in the Church of the Brethren Cemetery near Junior.
