Mrs. Stephany Jean (Ross) Hinchman, 65, a resident of the Audra Park Community near Belington, departed this life Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at her residence. Death was following a period of declining health.
She was born Nov. 19, 1958, at Belington, a daughter of the late Evelyn Beatrice and Olan Robert "Pete" Ross.
On Aug. 18, 1975, she was united in marriage to Garry Lee Hinchman, who preceded her in death on Feb. 7, 2020.
Left to cherish her memory are four sons, Garry Lee Hinchman Jr. and companion, Kamie Moats, of Belington, James Edward Hinchman and companion, Shelby Bennett, of Belington, Adam James Hinchman and wife, Kelsey, of Huttonsville, and Zachary Daniel Hinchman and wife, McKinlee, of Elkins; and one daughter, Tina Marie Phillips and husband, Raymond, of Belington.
Also surviving are two brothers, Perry "Buck" Ross and wife, Candy, of Belington, and Kenneth Ross and wife, Marge, of Belington; three sisters, Robin Ross and companion, Roy "Buck" Thorne, of Belington, Evelyn Faith Ross of Belington and Mary Watkins and husband, John, of East Liverpool, Ohio.
Additional survivors include 17 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two sisters, Regina "Peanut" Werner and Locreta L. "Kitty" Ross.
Stephany attended the schools of Barbour County, she was a homemaker for many years, and was a Christian by faith. She enjoyed spending time with family, especially grandchildren, and she loved to crochet. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Friends will be received at the Talbott Funeral Home, 56 N. Brandenburg Street in Belington, on Saturday, May 18, 2024, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Per Stephany's request, cremation will follow and a burial of her cremains will be conducted at a later date in the Concord Cemetery near Belington.
