Anna Jean Hinzman

HINZMAN

Anna Jean Hinzman, 89, of Buckhannon, West Virginia, died Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at WVU Medicine St. Joseph's Hospital in Buckhannon.

She was born Oct. 17, 1934, in Weston, West Virginia, a daughter of the late French and Icie Marie Clevenger Reese.

On July 28, 1956, she married Orval Ray Hinzman, who preceded her in death on May 25, 2011.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Harry Reese; and two sisters, Mary Milstead and Ethel Manyak.

She is survived by one son, Daniel R. Hinzman, and wife, Sandra E., of Buckhannon; one grandson, Jacob R. Hinzman and wife, Morgan, of Buckhannon; one granddaughter, Kelsey M. Hinzman and wife, Jessica, of Morgantown, West Virginia; three great-grandsons, Gideon and Daniel Hinzman, both of Buckhannon, and Cameron Hinzman of Morgantown; one great-granddaughter, Casey Rae Hinzman of Morgantown; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Hinzman was a teacher for the Upshur County Board of Education for over 30 years. She was a member of the WV Retired Teachers Association, the Order of Eastern Star in Buckhannon and a member of the Chapel Hill United Methodist Churc

Friends will be received Thursday, June 27, 2024, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, from the funeral home, with Pastor Paul Rebelo officiating.

Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Jane Lew, West Virginia.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Boy Scouts Troop # 100 or Chapel Hill United Methodist Church.
