Barbara "Barb" Jean Garlitz Petrice, 60, a resident of Coalton, passed from this life Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at home. She had been in her usual health and death was unexpected.
Barb was born Thursday, May 30, 1963, in Ravenna, Ohio, a daughter of the late Carl William Garlitz and Shirley Ann Taylor Garlitz.
Left to cherish her memory are five children, Archie Ralph Hess III, Carl William Hess and wife, Angie, Angela Gayle Hess and fiance, Ronnie, Robert Scott Petrice and fiance, Lilly, and Jamey Marie Petrice, four grandchildren, Emmalynn and Owen Hess and Rayna and Anthony Brantner; four siblings, Jeff Garlitz, Pam Hale, Shawnee Garlitz and Brenda Garlitz; Barb's fiance, Dave Lee Ware; and best friend, Edith Melton.
Preceding her in death besides her parents was one brother, Gary Garlitz.
Barb was a graduate of West Preston High School. She was employed as a housekeeper at Patton Building Services. Barb enjoyed sewing, canning, cooking, vegetable gardening and quilting. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Visitation will be held at the Randolph Funeral Home Monday, June 3, 2024, from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m.
