Clarence W. Licwov Jr., 82, a resident of East Dailey, passed away Monday, June 10, 2024, at the West Virginia Caring Inpatient Unit with his family by his side.
He was born March 25, 1942, at Alpena, a son of the late Clarence W. Licwov Sr., and Genevieve White Licwov.
On Oct. 11, 1963, at Valley Bend, he was married to Elizabeth "Libby" Kyle, who survives.
Also surviving are one son, Vincent W. Licwov and wife, Christa, of Beverly; two daughters, Vanessa M. Licwov-Channell and husband, Mitch, of Reedsville, West Virginia, and Julie A. Phillips and husband, Bill, of Beverly; one brother, George A. Licwov of Elkins; seven grandchildren, Allison Channell and husband, Aaron, of Beverly, Madison Carr and husband, Hunter ,of Valley Bend, Casey and Shane Martel of Morgantown, West Virginia, Connor Channell of Reedsville, West Virginia, and Logan and Mason Phillips of Beverly; three great-grandchildren, Elliott Channell of Beverly and Kenley, Jaxon and Hadlie Carr of Valley Bend.
In addition to his parents, also preceding him in death was one sister, Patricia A. Kegel.
Clarence was a graduate of Tygart Valley High School and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He owned and operated Licwov Plumbing prior to his retirement. Clarence enjoyed camping, fishing and family gatherings.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., Monday, June 17, 2024, at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 18, from the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Tristan Tenney officiating.
Interment will follow at the Beverly Cemetery, where presentation of the American Flag will be made by members of the Joint Base Andrews Air Force Honor Guard.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to West Virginia Caring Hospice, P.O. Box 760, Arthurdale, WV 26520 or to the Randolph County Humane Society, P. O. Box 785, Elkins, WV 26241 in memory of Mr. Licwov.
