Danny Charles Moss, 66, a resident of Huttonsville, passed from this life on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Danny was born Wednesday, Sept. 4, 1957, in Parkersburg, son of Anna Marie Moss.
Left to cherish Danny's memory is one daughter, Adriana Channell and husband, Nick, of Elkins; one brother, Roger Lee Moss and wife, Margie, of Salem; one sister, Sharon Lee Moss of Mill Creek; two grandchildren, Daniel Channell and Claire Channell; one sister-in-law, Barb Moss; one niece, Dianne Moss; and one nephew, Kevin Moss, all of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Danny was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul Michael Moss and Lonnie Gail Moss.
Danny was a graduate of Tygarts Valley High School with the class of 1975. He served with the US Air Force for 12 years as an aerospace propulsion technician, receiving many accolades for his abilities. His organizational skills were often rewarded with managerial positions. He worked as the purchasing manager for Bruce Hardwoods and floor supervisor with Pratt & Whitney. He owned and operated Dan's Survival Gear for a couple years before going to work as a supervisor at Colonial Millworks.
Danny enjoyed being outdoors, fishing and deep sea fishing, riding his bike, walking, and ginsenging. He had served on the Huttonsville Town Council and as mayor of Huttonsville for a term. He enjoyed talking with people and getting to know those around him, but his family was his first love, especially his daughter and grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at the Randolph Funeral Home on Monday, June 3, 2024, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., the funeral hour.
Pastor Frank Stanley will officiate and interment will follow in Brick Church Cemetery. The Randolph Funeral Home and Cremation Services has been entrusted with the arrangements for Danny Charles Moss.
