Infant Merci LouAnn Knapp, 9 months, a resident of Belington, departed this life Sunday June 23, 2024, in the Nationwide Children's Hospital at Columbus, Ohio. She had struggled to and fought for her life since birth.
She was born Aug. 28, 2023, at Morgantown, West Virginia, a daughter of Jerry Bennett Jr. and Katie Lynn Knapp, who survives at Belington.
Left to cherish her memory are three brothers, Kingston Croston, Klayton Croston and Hayes Bennett; and one sister, Jillian Bennett, all of Belington; grandparents; William and Donna Knapp of Belington, Linda Taylor of Junior, Marci Dean of Belington, and Jerry Bennett Sr. of Belington; and great-grandparents, William Knapp Sr. of Brownton and Judy Golden Dean of Belington.
For this short time she had on this earth, she surely touched the lives of so many people, especially her family.
Friends will be received at the Talbott Funeral Home, 56 N. Brandenburg St. in Belington, on Friday June 28, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the funeral hour, at which time final rites will be conducted from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jimmie E. Tallman officiating. Cremation will then follow.
