Mr. Randy Michael Moore, 71, a resident of Junior, West Virginia, departed this life Friday afternoon June 21, 2024, at Broaddus Hospital.
He was born March 2, 1953, in Elkins, West Virginia, a son of the late August "Augie" and Madaline Regina Booth Moore.
Randy is survived by one son, Michael M. Moore and wife, Kimberly, of Spencer, West Virginia; one daughter, Stephanie Gomez and husband, Jesse, of Junior, West Virginia; and seven grandchildren, Dakota, Zoe, Hadlee, Garrick, Draven, Madilyn and Nathan.
Additional survivors include one aunt, Emaloyn Reed of Elkins, West Virginia; and one uncle, Kermit D "Red" Booth of Elkhart, Indiana.
Several cousins and friends also survive.
Randy was a 1971 graduate of The Philip Barbour High School and graduated from Alderson-Broaddus with a degree in Arts and Sciences. He worked many years in retail-management and lastly worked for Aegis Services. He was a member of the Belington Church of Christ, an avid NASCAR fan, and loved to fish. Randy had a love for birds and a great love for his feline companions. Randy was a very devoted son who moved back home several years ago to ensure his parents got the best care they needed and deserved.
Friends will be received at the Talbott Funeral Home, 56 N. Brandenburg St. in Belington, WV, on Tuesday June 25, from 11 a.m. to noon, the funeral hour, when final rites will be conducted from the funeral home chapel with Evangelist Michael Phillips officiating.
Interment will then follow in the Knights of Pythias - Mt. View Cemetery near Junior, West Virginia.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that memorial contributions be made to the Belington Church of Christ P.O. Box 444 Belington, WV 26250.
