Stephen Thomas Nestor

Stephen Thomas Nestor, 67, a resident of Elkins, West Virginia, departed this life Thursday morning, May 30, 2024, at his home. Death was unexpected.

He was born Monday, June 25, 1956 at Akron, Ohio, a son of the late Ronald Lee Nestor and Rita Ann Capezutto Nestor. He was formerly married to the former Doyletta "Dee Dee" Delauder, who survives at Elkins.

Also surviving are one brother, David Lee Nestor and wife, Julie; one nephew, Samuel; one niece, Rachel; aunt, Gloria Killian and husband, Gary, of Akron, Ohio; and cousins, Tammy, David, Belinda and Glenn.

Preceding him in death is one daughter, Maria Ann Nestor; and one cousin, Pamela.

Steve was a graduate of Elkins High School with the class of 1974, had worked for Mountaineer Gas for 27 years, Wal-Mart for three years, and the Elkins Recreation Center for seven years, retiring in 2018.

He was an avid softball and baseball player for over 30 years, enjoyed bowling and was a member of the Sons of the Legion.

A Graveside Service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Monday, June 10, 2024, at the Mt. Vernon Cemetery at Philippi, West Virginia. The Reverend Mister Raymond G. Godwin will officiate and interment will follow.

The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of contributions to the charity of your choice.
