Alexander Nickolas “Alex” Rader, 23, passed from this life, Friday, June 28, 2024, in Moundsville. He was in his usual health and death was unexpected.
He was born Friday, Sept. 29, 2000, in Charleston, a son of Daniel and Linda Rader of Mill Creek and Melodee Serrett of Moundsville.
Left to cherish his memory are paternal grandparents, David and Gerlene Rader; maternal grandparents, Larry and Susan Serrett; step-grandparents, Kathy and Bobby Chenoweth; three siblings, Jordan, Joey and Jakub Rader; uncles and aunts, Matthew A. Rader, Lorie Rader, Kim Judy, Sam Oldaker, Michaeal Rader, Matt Rader, Kayla Ferguson, Waleena Taylor, Heidie Shelton, Robbie Serrett and Missy Lanham; special cousin, Victor Serrett, whom he considered a brother; and several cousins.
Alex was a 2022 graduate of John Marshall High School. He participated in the West Virginia Special Olympics and the Miracle League and was a member of the Easter Seals where he was the past ambassador. Alex was a happy soul and always had a smile. If you were having a bad day, Alex would make it better. He enjoyed watching cartoons, listening to music and loved hearing loud muscle cars.
Visitation will be held at the Randolph Funeral Home Tuesday, July 2, 2024, from 4 p.m. until 5 p.m., the funeral hour.
Pastor Tyler Arbogast will officiate and interment will be private.
