Anita Cay Wood Tacy, 59, a resident of Huttonsville, West Virginia, passed away Thursday, July 11, 2024, in the Mon Health Medical Center in Morgantown, West Virginia, following a brief illness.
She was born June 21, 1965, at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, a daughter of the late Roy Ellis Wood and the late Sharon Thompson Wood.
On Oct. 17, 1987, at Mingo, West Virginia, she was married to Pete Edwin Tacy II, who survives at Huttonsville.
Also surviving are aunts, Kay Wood and Betty Ware; and uncles, Joe Wood and Mike Thompson.
Anita was a homemaker and a Presbyterian by Faith.
Friends may call from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Monday, July 15, 2024, at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, July 16, 2024, from the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Sam Felton officiating.
Interment will follow in the Mingo Cemetery.
