Jerry Lee Pastine
Jerry Lee Pastine, affectionately known as Pobo, 83, of Elkins, West Virginia, traded his airplane wings for angel wings on Thursday, July 18, 2024, surrounded by his loving family after an extended illness.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., Thursday, July 25, 2024, at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, July 26, from the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Dr. Basil A. Hensley officiating.
Interment will follow at Elkins Memorial Gardens on the Airport Road, where members of Elkins Lodge No. 108 AF & AM will conduct ritualistic ceremony.
Full military honors will be accorded by the West Virginia National Guard Honor Guard Program, HW Daniels Post 29 American Legion and Tygart Valley Post 3647 Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Jerry will also be honored with a missing man aerial fly over conducted by his close pilot friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Young Eagles organization, promoting the love of aviation in young children, through the Elkins Chapter of EAA, 400 Airport Road, Elkins, WV 26241 in memory of Jerry.
