Sharon Sue Bennett

She was born Feb. 16, 1960, at Elkins, a daughter of the late John Paul and Gertrude (Mowery) Bennett.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, Randy Spounaugle; one sister, Brenda Bennett; and two grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memory are five children, Jonathan Bennett and wife, Amy, of Pennsylvania, Randy Bennett and wife, Cindy, of Belington, Gerald Bennett of Elkins, Debbie Bennett and Crystal Bennett, both of Huttonsville. Also surviving are six siblings, Estel Bennett of West Virginia, Walter Bennett and Dennis Bennett of Belington, Katherine Bennett of Elkins, Judy Bennett and Betty Turley, both of Maryland. Additional survivors also include seventeen grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and Jewels, her K-9 companion.

Sharon attended the schools of West Virginia and Maryland. She was a homemaker for many years and she was a Christian by faith. She loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Friends will be received at the Talbott Funeral Home 56 N. Brandenburg Street in Belington on Wednesday July 3, 2024, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. the funeral hour at which time final rites will be conducted from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Jimmie E. Tallman officiating. Interment will follow in the Fraternal Cemetery near Belington.
