Robert James Rinker
RINKER
Robert James Rinker, 77, of Partlow, Virginia, passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home on Sunday, July 21, 2024.
Born in Morgantown, West Virginia, Mr. Rinker served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, where his bravery earned him a Bronze Star. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to create several successful businesses throughout his life, most notably in home construction. Mr. Rinker was active in his church and was an avid sportsman and nature enthusiast.
He enjoyed spending as much time with friends and family as he could, often talking his granddaughters into playing spirited games of checkers or Uno. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Mr. Rinker is survived by his daughters, Shannon Enos (Danny) and Joye Rinker; grandchildren, Madison, Lindsey, Josie and Aspen; great-grandson Carter; and siblings, Butch Rinker, Roger Rinker and Deborah Rinker.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2024, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 8 at Quantico National Cemetery.
