Susan ‘Sis’ Gum

Known for her happy, loving, and caring nature, Sis brought joy to everyone around her.

Sis was born Monday, Aug. 29, 1960, in Detroit, Michigan, a daughter of the late Don Gum and Margaret Barlow Gum.

Left to cherish Sis’ memory is her life partner, Ron Hobert; her son, Ronnie Hobert and partner, Heather Hammonds; a brother, Mike Gum; and a sister, Brenda Gum.

Preceding Sis in death besides her parents were two sisters, Carol Gum and Sherry Marshteller; and a brother, David Gum.

Sis spent her life cherishing simple pleasures; she loved shopping and valued spending quality time with her family, making every moment count. Her presence was a comforting and loving force within her family.

Visitation services to honor and celebrate Sis’ life will be held at Randolph Funeral Home on Thursday, Aug. 8, 2024, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., the funeral hour.

Pastor Kevin Gainer will officiate, and then Sis’ request for cremation will then be honored.

The Randolph Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements for Susan “Sis” Gum.
