Rebecca Ann ‘Becky’ Corcoran

Rebecca Ann “Becky” Corcoran, 78, a resident of Elkins, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2024, at the Davis Medical Center following a brief illness.
She was born April 28, 1946, at Elkins, a daughter of the late Myron A. and May Grace Bennett White.
On June 6, 1964, at Elkins, she was married to Ray Earl Corcoran, who survives. They had celebrated 60 years of marriage.
Also surviving are two sons, Ronald R. “Ron” Corcoran and John E. Corcoran and wife, Tammy, of Elkins; and one sister, Rose Mary “Rosie” Cain and husband, Bill, of Elkins; three grandchildren, Hayleigh Corcoran and Shawn, Hunter Corcoran and fiance, Jordyn, and Chase Corcoran and Danyelle; and three great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Elise and Levi.
Several nieces, nephews and a special friend, Terry Casseday, also survive.
Also preceding her in death were brothers-in-law, James Corcoran and Jack Corcoran (Patty); and sister-in-law, Doris Williams (Mike).
Becky was a graduate of Elkins High School with the Class of 1965. She worked as a Dental Assistant with Dr. Tom Pitsenberger and Dr. Frank Mams prior to her retirement. She was a member of the Elkins Jaycees, the Elkins Fire Department Auxiliary and had volunteered for hospice. She was a member of the Elkins First Church of the Nazarene. Becky was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who dearly loved spending time with her family and friends. She was so kind and caring and had a smile that would light up a room.
Becky’s request for cremation will be honored. Memorial contributions may be made to the Elkins First Church of the Nazarene, 74 Nazarene Loop, Elkins, WV 26241 in memory of Becky.
