Stephanie Haymond Ward

Stephanie was born Jan.y 4, 1970, in Oberlin, Ohio, to the late Brooks Haymond and Norma Powers, who survives. Stephanie is survived by her husband of 33 years, Stephen Smith Ward, along with three daughters, Amberley Ward Phillips (Josh), Brooksley Ward and Jadee Ward Poe; one son, Trenton Ward; one grandson, Gainer Phillips and soon to be granddaughter, Grace Phillips. She is also survived by one brother, Douglas Haymond (Pam); along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Jackie Ward.

Stephanie was a banker by trade and worked at First Community Bank for 26 years before moving to Citizen’s Bank for the last five years.

Stephanie’s wishes for cremation will be honored and a private memorial service will be held at a later date.

The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the doctors and nursing staff at WVU Medicine United Hospital Center for their kindness, compassion and respect during this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a local Cancer Center of choice.
