Margurite Ruth Nine, 82, a resident of the St. George Community, Parsons, West Virginia, departed this life Sunday evening, Oct. 20, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loving family and under the care of Mountain Hospice. She had been in declining health for the past year-and-one-half.
She was born Saturday, March 28, 1942, at Location Road, St. George, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Junior Howard Nine and Daisy Mae Wotring Nine.
She had never married.
Surviving are five brothers, Robert Nine of Location Road, Nick Nine and wife, Delores, of Hambleton, Ronald Nine and wife, Darlene, of Bruceton Mills, Luther Nine and wife, Reva, of Blackman Flats, and John Nine of Location Road; five sisters, Wanda Nine, Shirley Nine and Mary Nine, all of Location Road, Sharlet Lipscomb of Kingwood and Betty Petersen and husband, Curt, of Crystal Lake, Illinois; one brother- in-law, John Curtiss of Texas; and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Preceding her in death are two brothers, Amos David Nine and George Kenneth Nine; and two sisters, Jane Ellen Nine Curtiss and Beverly Kay Nine.
She attended the school at St. Mary's. Margurite was a Christian by faith, and when she was able, she attended the Good Tidings Assembly of God Church, and she loved to read her Bible daily.
Margurite enjoyed word searches, reading, shopping and going to McDonald's. Her whole family was her caregivers, and they loved each other very much.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons, West Virginia, on Monday, Oct. 28, 2024, from 10 a.m. to noon.
Final rites will be conducted from the funeral home on Monday at noon. The Rev. Kevin Hostetler will officiate and interment will follow at the Limestone Cemetery at St. George, West Virginia.
