Robert ‘Bobby’ Frank Leonard

Robert "Bobby" Frank Leonard, 65, a resident of Belington, passed from this life Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2024, at Tygart Valley Health and Rehabilitation in Belington and under the care of Mountain Hospice.

Bobby was born Friday, March 27, 1959, in Warren, Ohio, a son of the late Norman Leonard and Hazel Bennett Taylor Leonard.

Bobby had never married.

Left to cherish his memory are five siblings, Ret. Sgt. 1st Class E7 82nd Airborne Larry Lambert of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Stanley Taylor Jr. of Elkins, Bill McCauley Gilbert Sr. and wife, Lori, of Chardon, Ohio, Nancy Draa and husband, Paul, of Warren, Ohio, Nora Lambert and husband, Bob, of Mill Creek; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death besides his parents were maternal grandparents, Clem Bennett and Nora Lambert Bennett of Cherry Grove; paternal grandparents, Jerry Leonard and Mary Ague Leonard of Farmington, Ohio; one sister, Ruth Barry O'Brien; and one sister-in-law, Zorina Lambert.

Bobby was born with Down Syndrome. From a young age, he resided in several care facilities and for the last 20 years, he was a resident of Good Samaritan of Barbour County, now known as Tygart Valley Health and Rehabilitation.

The family's request for cremation was honored.

A graveside service will be conducted in the Brick Church Cemetery in Huttonsville Wednesday, October 29, 2024, at 1 p.m.

Pastor Frank Stanley will officiate, and interment will follow next to Bobby's mother.

The Randolph Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements for Robert Frank Leonard.
