William Bradley ‘Brad’ Hitt

William Bradley "Brad" Hitt, 73, of Buckhannon, West Virginia, died Saturday, Oct. 19, 2024, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia.

He was born Nov. 6, 1950, in Kincheloe, West Virginia, a son of the late Roy and Marguerite Heckert Hitt.

On May 8, 1969, he married Bonnie Lee Holbrook, who survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Jake Hitt and Shane Hitt and wife, Holly, all of Buckhannon; two daughters, Lovie Tenney and husband, Mike, of Tennerton, West Virginia, and Billi West and husband, Shane, of the Macedonia Community, West Virginia; four grandsons, Justin Trumble and wife, Vanessa, of Fort Moore, Georgia, and Stetson West and Logan and Landon Hitt, all of Buckhannon; three granddaughters, Shaylee Hitt of Buckhannon, Bonnie Bond of Aberdeen, Washington, and Layla Hite of Buckhannon; one great-grandson, Silas West of Buckhannon; three sisters, Barbara Watson and husband, Herman, of Buckhannon, Nancy Lee and husband, John, and Elizabeth Morgan of Martinsburg; one brother-in-law, Robert Perrine of Clarksburg, West Virginia; one sister-in-law, Alma Heckert of Buckhannon; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Margaret Allman and husband, Rod, Sharon Perrine and Patsy Hollen; and three brothers, Jerry Heckert, Ron Hitt and wife, Naomi, and Roy Hitt Jr.

Brad was a Brick Press Operator at Corhart Refractories and retired in 1997 and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 4357 in Hodgesville, West Virginia.

Friends will be received Thursday, Oct. 24, 2024, from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home.

In honoring his wishes, Brad will be cremated after the viewing.
