Danielle Elizabeth Fortney Valentin

Danielle was never one to complain. She always made the best out of any situation, and even through all of her pain, she always kept a smile and would say how blessed she was.

Danielle was married to the love of her life, Shaun Leon Valentin, who preceded her in death on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2023.

Also preceding her in death were both of her grandmothers, Betty Fox and Nadine Riffle; grandfathers, Marshal Fortney and Jack Moore; uncles, Dewayne and Rodney Fortney; and her cousin, Crystal Moore.

A “jack of all trades,” there was never any job Danielle couldn’t tackle from cleaning, to carpentry, to mechanic work, and all things in between. She did everything with pride.

Danielle was born Saturday, Sept. 12, 1987, in Elkins, to Stephen Fortney and Lisa Fox of East Dailey.

She is also survived by her sister, Chanda Fortney of East Dailey; four daughters, Destiny Vance and partner, Dyllan Coberly, of Beverly, Kaylie Fox, Maria Fox and Jade Fox, all of East Dailey; two grandsons, Berkeley Coberly and Stetson Coberly, both of Beverly; her best friend, Tracie Howard of North Carolina; her grandfather, Gary Fox of East Dailey; two nieces, Alexis Hedrick of Beverly and Alisa Hedrick of East Dailey; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Honoring Danielle’s wishes, she will be cremated and there will be no services.

The Randolph Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements for Danielle Elizabeth Fortney Valentin.
