Jerry Lee Isner, 78, passed away peacefully at home on Nov. 5, 2024, in Hillsborough, North Carolina.
Born in Randolph County, West Virginia, on Sept. 1, 1946, Jerry was known for his profound love for the outdoors and a life filled with adventures in nature.
Jerry is survived by a loving family, his sister, Barbara and husband, Harold Fisher; daughter, Michelle (Shelly) and husband, Michael Burton; sons, Jerry (JL) Lee Isner II, Jordan and wife, Samantha Isner, and Christopher Elswick, and Kevin Elswick.
He was a cherished grandfather to Kayla Burton, Michael Burton Jr., Zach Howell, Faith Isner, Destinee Isner, November Elswick, Jordan Isner Jr., Kylah Isner and Braeden Elswick.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel Boone Isner and Opal Phares Isner; his loyal man's best friend, Capone Isner; and his brothers, Roy Isner, Daniel Isner, Roger Isner and Charlie Isner; as well as his sister, Nancy Griffith.
Details regarding memorial services are still to be determined.
Jerry's life, characterized by his adventurous spirit and deep connections with family and nature, will be deeply missed and forever cherished by those who knew him.
