Left to cherish her memory are two children, Mandy Phillips and husband, Robert, of Valley Bend, and Jason Mallow and companion, Priscilla Taylor, of Dryfork; four grandchildren, Allyson Kyle and boyfriend, Dominic Barker, Connor Kyle, Walker Mallow and Dylan Phillips; siblings, Amy Lou Armentrout and Elizabeth Ann "Betsy" Dean; brothers-in-law, Larry, Robert and Dolan Mallow, sisters-in-law, Sharon Bonner, Donna Zahn and husband, Jack, and Portia Dean; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Nancy Teter; and three fur babies, Mia, Bandit and Tiny.

Preceding her in death besides her parents and husband was one brother, James "Jim" Dean; and Racy "Budge" Nelson, who was like a father to her.

Shirley was a 1973 graduate of Harman High School. She had been employed in housekeeping at Canaan Valley Resort and had worked at the Purdue Plant in Moorefield. Shirley enjoyed having yard sales, driving around to frequent other yard sales and trying her luck on scratch offs. Most of all, she adored her grandchildren and loved spending time with them.

A visitation will be held at Randolph Funeral Home on Thursday, Nov. 14, 2024, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.. Shirley's request for cremation will then be honored.

The Randolph Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements for Shirley Esther Dean Mallow.
