Annabel Price Moore

She was born Thursday, May 8, 1930, at Clover, in Tucker County, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Walter Jasper Price and Bertha Upton Price.

On July 6, 1946, at Parsons, West Virginia, she was married to Donald Keith Moore, who preceded her in death Feb. 18, 2020. They had celebrated 73 years of marriage.

Surviving are one son, Donald Randall “Randy” Moore and wife, Rebecca “Becky,” of Parsons; one daughter, Jaqueline “Jacque” Roy and companion, Mike Triplett, of Parsons; three grandchildren, James Randall Moore and wife, Barbara, Erin Jessica Nigh and husband, Steven, and Sarah Corinne Carr; six great-grandchildren, Morghan, Jonathan, Danni Grace, Noah, Jessyka and Ethyn; one great-great-grandchild, Thatcher; and several nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Preceding her in death are four brothers, Ovie, Woodrow, David and Esther Price; and five sisters, Ruby Price, Ruth Nestor, Irene Phillips, Maxine Harsh and Evelyn Moore.

She attended the schools at Clover and Parsons High School. She was a spinner at the former Dorman Mills until its closing and worked at the former Parsons Footwear until its closing and was their union representative.

She was a founding member of the Riverview Chapel Church. Annabel enjoyed crochet, working in her vegetable gardens and flower gardens. She was an avid card player and enjoyed going out to eat. She loved her family very much and was always thinking about everyone else before herself.

The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons, West Virginia, on Monday, from 5 to 7 p.m. Final rites will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2024, at 11 a.m. The Reverend James Snyder will officiate and interment will follow at the Mountain State Memorial Gardens at Gilman, West Virginia.
