Audra Jean "Babe" Dennis, 98, went to be with her lord and savior on Dec. 16, 2024, in her home surrounded by family.
Born on Nov. 15, 1926, in Junior, West Virginia, to the late Charles and Dessie Row.
Audra was a graduate of Belington High School, class of 1944. She graduated Potomac State 1945 and WVU Cadet Nurse Corp 1948. She worked at Meyers Clinic in Philippi, Davis Memorial Hospital in Elkins and the Colin Anderson Center.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, NRA, American Red Cross bloodmobile, SMHS band booster, girl scouts, VFW, OES/DAR and Camp Horseshoe.
Audra is survived by two sons, John (Deb) Dennis and Dan (Tina) Dennis; two daughters, Mary (Kerby) Hutchins and Melissa (Frank) Battaglia; seven grandchildren, Heath (Rachel), Stephanie (Shayne), Justin, Matthew, Brian (Erin), Jolijn and Jacqueline; four great-grandchildren, Silas, Reese, Hannah and Holden; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, John M "Jack" Dennis.
The family would like to thank Babe's caregivers, Barb, Sharon, Carrol and Brenda.
Services will be held Sunday, Dec. 22, 2024, following a Nightengale tribute at 2 p.m. from Ingram Funeral Home.
Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. on Sunday.
