Betty Jane Henline Moran
MORAN
Betty Jane Henline Moran, 87, a resident of Hambleton, West Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Dec. 29, 2024, at her home.
She was born Sunday, May 2, 1937, at Leadmine, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Gilbert and Ina Evans Henline.
On Dec. 18, 1953, at Red House, Maryland, she was married to Melvin Moran, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are three sons, Bruce Moran of Hambleton, Steven Moran and wife, Suzan, of Elkins, and Michael Moran of Parsons; two daughters, Judith Persutti of Hardeeville, South Carolina, and Donna Hebb of Hendricks; special chosen son, Charles Schadewald of the Moore Community; son-in-law, Lanny Heckler of Hambleton; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; and beloved cat, Benjamin.
Preceding her in death are two daughters, Sandra Lee Moran and Tina Heckler; and two brothers, Charles Raymond Henline and Irvin Henline.
She attended the schools at Tucker County. She worked at the former Tucker County Hospital and retired in 1999 from Cortland Acres. She was a lifetime member of the Leadmine Community Church. She was a great pillar of faith who prayed for and supported many friends and family throughout the years with her love and prayers.
Betty enjoyed crochet, and in the summertime, working on her flowerpots and in her flower beds.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons, West Virginia on Thursday, from 4 until 6 p.m. Final rites will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday, Jan. 3, 2025, at 11 a.m. Pastor Chopper Evans will officiate and interment will follow at the Texas Cemetery on Hogback Mountain, Preston County, West Virginia.
